Ballers Market operates on one non-negotiable principle: trust. Every item that passes through our platform. Whether it's heading online or to the ReShare Store in Rotterdam. Every item is authenticated, inspected and graded by our team.

No shortcuts. No assumptions. No "trust the seller" policies.

Here's exactly how we ensure that every piece you buy is exactly what we say it is.

How we authenticate

Every item goes through a strict authentication process before it's made available for sale. Our in-house team and trusted experts verify:

Brand authenticity
We check labels, stitching, hardware, materials and construction against brand-specific markers. Counterfeit items are rejected immediately.

Provenance and player documentation
Every item is linked back to the verified player closet it came from. We maintain documentation that confirms the item's origin and timeline.

Materials and quality
We inspect fabric quality, print durability and structural integrity to ensure items meet our standards for resale.

What happens if an item doesn't pass?
Items that don't meet our authentication standards are returned to the player or redirected through The Salvation Army ReShare's international channels, where they can still find a purpose without entering our verified marketplace.

For online items (€90+):
Each piece receives a Certificate of Authenticity that confirms it was sourced through Ballers Market's verified process and links it to the player closet it came from.

For ReShare items (under €90):
These pieces go through the same authentication rigor but don't receive individual certificates. They're authenticated as part of the curated batch sent to the ReShare Store.

This process is the same for every item, every time. No exceptions.`

Our condition grading system

We use five condition labels to describe the state of each item. These ratings are assigned after inspection and reflect the item's actual wear level, not the player's opinion or our marketing goals.

Unworn
Totally unused with all main accessories present. May have storage marks but has never been worn outside.

Pristine
Looks new or nearly impossible to tell it has been worn. Minimal to no visible signs of use.

Excellent
Very light signs of wear. May have slight creasing, faint marks or minor imperfections that don't affect wearability.

Good
More than one visible imperfection but fully wearable. May show fabric wear, fading or small marks consistent with regular use.

Pre-loved
Clear signs of age or use but still structurally sound and ready to wear. May have visible wear, fading or minor damage that's been disclosed in photos and description.

All condition details—including any flaws, marks or repairs—are noted in product descriptions and visible in photos. We don't hide imperfections. We document them.

Cleaning & preparation

Items go through a quality and hygiene check before being made available for sale. Where necessary, we refresh or treat garments so they're ready to wear, while respecting the original materials and details.

What we do:

  • Light cleaning or steaming to remove dust and refresh fabric
  • Odor treatment if needed
  • Minor repairs (loose buttons, small seam fixes) are noted in the description
  • Quality control to ensure zippers, buttons and closures work properly

What we don't do:

  • Alter or modify items beyond basic cleaning
  • Restore heavily damaged items (those are redirected through ReShare international channels)
  • Use harsh chemicals that could damage premium materials

The goal is simple: make sure the item you receive is clean, ready to wear and exactly as described.

Our Buyer Promise

We stand behind the authenticity and described condition of every online item. Here's what that means:

If we make a mistake:
If you receive an item that's clearly not as described, has undisclosed damage or fails our authentication standards in a way we missed, contact us within 7 days with your order number and photos. We'll review the situation and, if confirmed, offer an appropriate solution under our Buyer Promise.

What we cover:

  • Wrong item shipped
  • Significant condition mismatch (e.g., described as Excellent but arrives Pre-loved)
  • Authentication error (extremely rare, but if it happens, we make it right)

What we don't cover:

  • Change of mind, sizing issues or personal preference (we encourage you to review all photos, measurements and condition details carefully before purchasing)
  • Items purchased through bids or matched asks (final sale)
  • Normal wear consistent with the disclosed condition rating
